Once a month, Wallester colleagues get together for food day. This time, the monthly tradition took place on Friday, 30 October, just one day before Halloween. So, naturally, our Events team saw an opportunity to transform the tradition into something a bit spookier, bringing Halloween celebrations to Wallester’s offices in Tallinn, Riga and Cannes.
Hot Dogs, Treats and Halloween Sweets
As with every food day, the celebrations started with lunch. Hot dogs were on the menu, but this time accompanied by a generous spread of Halloween sweets. It was a good start to an afternoon of tricks, treats, astonishing costume choices and a little friendly competition.
A Spooky Makeover
All three offices got a complete Halloween makeover, with pumpkins, spider webs, black and purple balloons, and oversized eyeballs keeping an eye on proceedings.
A skeleton claimed one of the armchairs, while the Wallester sign got its own Halloween treatment, surrounded by dark balloons and webbing. There was also an arrangement of orange flowers and pumpkins that provided the perfect backdrop for photos.
The standout decoration in was a hologram of a witch stirring a cauldron in Riga, glowing blue against a wall of Wallester logos. Definitely not your usual office decor.
Costumes, Creativity and a Little Competition
Colleagues brought plenty of creativity to their costumes. There were masked figures, a few rather unsettling props, and one particularly memorable group dressed as a convent, complete with a sign reading “The Holy ASAP”.
Then, after the votes were counted, the winners were announced:
Individual prizes
1st place: Sergei Ivanov
2nd place: Jekaterina Romanova
3rd place: Nikita Lysenko
Team winner: Operations team, for an unforgettable group costume.

Congratulations to all the winners, and especially to the Operations team for taking the group prize.
Until Next Halloween
We’d like to thank everyone who took part, put together a costume and helped make the day memorable. Of course, a special thank you goes to the Events team for bringing the Halloween spirit to all three offices.
The ghosts and ghouls may have left the building, but there’s always next Halloween to come back even scarier.
