Wallester named among the fastest-growing startups in DACH and CEE for the second consecutive year

Wallester Sifted leaderboards

Wallester has been ranked 67th in the 2026 Sifted 100: DACH & CEE Leaderboard, the company’s second consecutive appearance among the region’s fastest-growing startups and scaleups.

Wallester also ranks first among Estonian companies in Sifted’s digital banking category and second among Estonian fintech companies included in this year’s leaderboard.

The annual leaderboard ranks 100 private technology companies headquartered across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Central and Eastern Europe. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over three financial years, calculated using a two-year compound annual growth rate. Companies must submit signed documentation supporting their financial information to qualify.

Two consecutive appearances

Wallester first appeared on the regional leaderboard in 2025, when it ranked 44th in the Sifted 100: DACH & CEE. Later that year, it placed 231st in the Sifted 250, which brought together the fastest-growing technology companies from Sifted’s regional rankings across Europe.

Wallester’s return to the leaderboard in 2026 follows a jump in revenue, from €17.2 million in 2024 to €27.8 million in 2025, as the company expands its payment infrastructure and card-issuing services across Europe and the UK.

Wallester’s 2026 rankings

The full Sifted report places Wallester:

  • 67th out of 100 companies overall
  • 18th out of 32 fintech companies
  • Third out of five companies in the digital banking category
  • Sixth out of 11 Estonian companies
  • Second out of three Estonian fintech companies
  • First out of two Estonian companies in the digital banking category

Two products, one growth curve

Wallester serves companies through two core products. Wallester Business gives organisations the tools to issue virtual and physical Visa cards, control company spending, and manage budgets, and automate financial administration. Wallester White-Label enables companies to launch branded card programmes using Wallester’s payment infrastructure, regulatory coverage, and Visa Principal Membership.

Wallester now serves more than 7,000 business clients, has issued over seven million cards, and operates from offices in Tallinn, Riga, Cannes, and the UK.

Recognised across Europe

In 2026, the Financial Times and Statista ranked Wallester as Europe’s fastest-growing fintech in the FT1000.

Wallester also placed sixth in the 2025 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe, and received Fintech of the Year at the Europe Fintech Awards and Best Spend Management System at the PayTech Awards.

Revenue grew 62% between 2024 and 2025. If that pace holds, next year’s Sifted ranking will look different again.
