Expense reporting usually breaks down at a predictable point: the gap between spending money and logging it. Now we’ve redesigned the Expense Card User Profile in the Wallester Mobile Appto close that gap directly.
The update is already live, and any physical or virtual card a user holds switches automatically to the new profile. No new setup is required, only updating the app to the latest version.
It follows the redesigned Wallester Business dashboard we published earlier this month, and it’s the first of several planned updates to the mobile app.
What Changed
The update covers three things: a refreshed interface with clearer card controls, a faster camera flow for uploading receipts and invoices, and two-tap access to check a card’s limits and status.
In the redesigned card view, actions like freezing the card, viewing its details, and paying with a digital wallet appear directly on the card screen.
Limits are shown with a daily and monthly view of what’s been spent against what’s allowed.
Receipts and notes can be attached directly from a transaction’s own detail view, so a purchase and its documentation stay together from the start.
Why the Timing Matters
Missing receipts don’t necessarily come from carelessness. Very often, they come from the delay between spending money and logging it.
The faster the app makes that first step (capturing the receipt and attaching it to the right transaction), the less likely it is to be pushed to later and forgotten.
What It Means for Finance Teams
When receipts are attached to the correct transaction at the time of purchase, that documentation arrives complete rather than as a bare line item to chase down afterward. The idea behind the update was to produce cleaner expense data and fewer missing receipts flowing into the Wallester web portal.
Also, this is only the first update in a broader redesign of the Wallester Mobile App, and more changes are on the way.
If you already use Wallester Business, simply update the app from the App Store or Google Play, and cards switch to the new profile automatically. If you don’t yet, you can create a free account today and try it for yourself.
